About Us

Dr. Gabriel Busquets attended Life University and has been practicing chiropractic since 2014. He opened Primero Spine and Joint in Jacksonville in 2017, where he began to notice that many of his chiropractic patients suffered with varying degrees of knee degeneration and pain. He got a Knee on Trac knee traction machine, which offered patients some relief—but he wanted to go further.

In 2020, Dr. Busquets began the process of putting the puzzle pieces together to create a unique knee pain treatment center that focuses exclusively on providing effective, non-surgical results for patients suffering with degenerative conditions of the knee. Jacksonville Integrative Health opened our doors in February, 2022.

How We Are Different

The most common orthopedic procedure performed in the United States is knee replacement surgery. Most of our patients want to avoid or at least delay that outcome, and have tried other options like cortisone injections or physical therapy before seeking our care. While cortisone shots can offer short-term relief of pain and inflammation, studies show that cortisone damages tissues in the long run. Physical therapy doesn’t help with a “bone on bone” situation.

Our method is unique. We will tailor your program specifically to your needs, using various cutting-edge therapies to provide a comprehensive approach to your degenerative knee pain.

Our Team Approach to Care

Dr. Busquets is the clinic director and knee pain expert. With a supervising physician and nurse practitioner as part of our team, we can provide FDA-approved hyaluronic acid injections and PRP injections as integral components of our program.

The manufacturers of hyaluronic acid recommend three to five injections, about a week apart, to achieve the best results. Unfortunately, most primary care providers give patients only one or two shots, which is not enough to be effective—and that gives patients the mistaken idea that hyaluronic acid doesn’t work.

Here, we ensure patients get the recommended number of injections, and we combine that with knee decompression therapy, laser therapy, bracing and rehab exercises to get the longest-lasting results possible.
